About
Small studio.
Real software.
SKAPTA builds custom mobile apps for service businesses — the kind of business where customers book time, buy from a set list, and come back. Clinics, gyms, salons, studios, trades, restaurants.
Most of these businesses are running their bookings through a phone line, an Instagram DM, or a web widget that was clearly designed for a desktop in 2014. Their customers are on their phones. There's a gap there, and it costs real money in no-shows and abandoned bookings.
The problem was never that an app was a bad idea. It's that hiring someone to build one meant a discovery call, a proposal, a five-figure deposit, and a four-month wait — all before seeing a single screen. That's an enormous amount of trust to ask for up front, and it's why most owners never bother.
So we flipped it
We build the app first. Before the call, before the contract, before you've paid anything. You fill in a short form, and five days later there's a working app with your branding, your service list, and your prices on it, running on a real phone.
Then you decide. If it's obviously worth it, we finish it and launch it under your own App Store account. If it isn't, you keep the walkthrough video and we part on good terms. We'd rather spend five days finding that out than spend an hour selling you on a maybe.
It also keeps us honest. We can only do this a few times a month, which means we have to be genuinely useful to the businesses we pick — there's no volume to hide behind.
Who you'll work with
You talk to the person
building your app.
No account managers, no handoffs to a team you've never met. That's the upside of staying small, and it's deliberate.

You, maybe
We're small on purpose
We take three builds a month so that every one of them gets real attention. When that stops being true, we'll grow carefully rather than quickly.
How we work
A few things we
actually mean.
You own it
The app is published under your own developer accounts, in your business's name. You control the listing. If you ever want to leave, you keep it and we hand over a full export of your data. A vendor who holds your app hostage isn't a partner, they're a landlord.
We quote before we work
Every feature outside the agreed scope gets priced before anyone starts building it. You will never open an invoice from us and find something you didn't approve.
We'll tell you not to buy
If your business doesn't need an app, or if what you actually need is a better website, we'll say so — usually on the first call, before we've built anything. Talking someone into a $28,000 build they don't need is how a studio gets one client instead of a referral network.
Security isn't an upsell
Encryption, per-customer access control and audit logging are in every build, not a premium tier. If you handle health data we sign a BAA before a single record exists. This is table stakes, and any vendor treating it as optional should worry you.
We say what we don't do
We don't build marketplaces, social networks, or products whose core is real-time chat and video. We're a small studio with a specific competence, and the honest move is to point you elsewhere rather than learn on your budget.
Let's build yours.
Five days from now you could be holding your business's app. It costs you nothing to find out.
